Baby Kendall – OC Photography

I took this photo of Kendall in Dad’s arms on the porch. Used photoshop to sharpen her eyes and blur the background a little more. The photo looks pretty good until you zoom in where you can see a little motion blur.

Ken & Kristal – OC Wedding Photography

Ken & Kristal – I processed this original photo by separating subject and background. Gaussian blur applied to background, while I carefully erased edges left from a painted on mask. I colorized background and a duplicate of the subject. I reduced the duplicate enough to allow original subject’s color to create the antique look.

Kristal’s Wedding – Orange County Photography

Here, I was so “focused” on getting the peacock feathers positioned right that it wasn’t until later I noticed I’d cropped out one of the bridesmaids. I took some more photos, zoomed back some, but I wish I’d moved the bridesmaid in a little on this one.

Hummingbirds and Horses – OC Photography and Video on the Canon T2i

First I took some shots of flowers and hummingbirds in my back yard and the next day, I traveled to Orange County. On the way home, I stopped by a familiar spot to anyone who travels the 91 and Green River in Corona and took some video and photography of the horses there. The horses were a little nervous about me standing there but also quite curious and some were friendly enough to walk up and allow me to pat their heads. The environment was really dusty but it made for good ambiance in the video. Many of the homes in Corona are still horse properties as the area was once comprised mostly of dairy farms and ranches.

Tamron Lens at 3.2 – Orange County Photographers

I’ve read that the Tamron Lens is a “bit soft” at maximum aperture. This shot was taken at 3.2 and it seems fairly crisp but I’ll admit that I’ve seen the effect at long focal lengths and greater than portrait distances at f/2.8. Still, the lens is a great walking around lens with its 28-105 range. It’s ready for almost anything.
