Samuel Clemens, widely known as Mark Twain was excoriated by the literary critics du jour for his colloquial style in his renditions of enduring middle American styled iconic characters including Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer. The didactic tone of professional and academic writing has its place, I suppose, but not in marketing; not in the alchemy of the influence and persuasion of selling.
