Hummingbirds and Horses – OC Photography and Video on the Canon T2i
First I took some shots of flowers and hummingbirds in my back yard and the next day, I traveled to Orange County. On the way home, I stopped by a familiar spot to anyone who travels the 91 and Green River in Corona and took some video and photography of the horses there. The horses were a little nervous about me standing there but also quite curious and some were friendly enough to walk up and allow me to pat their heads. The environment was really dusty but it made for good ambiance in the video. Many of the homes in Corona are still horse properties as the area was once comprised mostly of dairy farms and ranches.
Dave Keys – Just A little Photoshop – Orange County Photographers
I took this photograph of horses in Corona at the Green River exit from the 91 Freeway, so that makes it officially not Orange County photography but it’s close. The horses were kicking up dust but there were some elements in the original photograph we shall call natural to a horse corral but not what we’d want to see in a photograph. (this was actually a screen-grab from video shot with the Canon T2i which has incredible range giving it cinema class capability)
I used a combination of stock brushes and filters to create the fresco wall effect and another stock brush in erase mode to clear out the edges to reveal enough of the horses, but not their less visually pleasing natural setting.
