Here in Murrieta, the homes are more spacious, the skies are bigger and bluer and the pace of life is a little slower– more relaxed. Sunsets are often spectacular and free of the smog, and in Orange County and Riverside Metro areas. There are plenty of Murrieta homes for sale at great prices, and more on the way.  I took this picture after the sun went down from my own backyard.  The colors just continue to get more intense as they often do here in Murrieta and the Temecula Valley.

First I took some shots of flowers and hummingbirds in my back yard and the next day, I traveled to Orange County. On the way home, I stopped by a familiar spot to anyone who travels the 91 and Green River in Corona and took some video and photography of the horses there. The horses were a little nervous about me standing there but also quite curious and some were friendly enough to walk up and allow me to pat their heads. The environment was really dusty but it made for good ambiance in the video. Many of the homes in Corona are still horse properties as the area was once comprised mostly of dairy farms and ranches.

Every summer, the sidewalk artists of the Temecula area gather and put their chalk down to the pavement and produce a cornucopia of styles, colors and themes in art in Old Town. This year is shaping up to please the crowds. Artists from six to way more than six produce their work today and tomorrow. Some are shaping up to be stunning renditions and sure to please, while others had their place but had not shown up by time I left at 2PM.

Remember to include small details that accent the character and desirability of homes in your real estate photography. Use photoshop to balance light levels and correct colors. Often indoor photography requires higher ISO film- you’ll need to adjust color.

Could it be the weather? I don’t just mean the warm temperatures year round. It isn’t always “warm” by the talk of some Orange County residents. They’ll tell you unabashedly, “It’s FREEZING!” but the rest of the country from the eastern seaboard to montana and parts between are, of course, laughing at us.

The real reason, however you define the weather could be the contrast. Nowhere else in the country, except the big Island of Hawaii can you surf and snow-ski on the same day. What is it in Orange County Homes that has over 1% of the entire country’s population living in our borders, and many more wanting to? What drives up the prices of real estate in the OC? I think this kind of morning is one reason.
