Great Photography
Great photography is about a story. You can meet every technical requirement of a perfect photograph but if it fails to touch an emotion and tell a story about what resonates with the viewer it isn’t that great.
Locals relax and converse overlooking Maui’s north shore. I never miss the opportunity to drive around past Kapalua and see the sights along the north and east of Maui, the blowhole, the world’s best home baked banana bread, the tiny town with private koi farms and the cliffs and windy one lane roads that lead to Wailuku.

The water is as clear as anyone could want. North of Kapalua lie the rugged north shore, Mokuleia Bay and Slaughterhouse Beach. Not for novices but popular with locals.

North of Kapalua are the local spots for surfing. Most tourists to Maui don’t venture past Kapalua and those who do drive blithely by this spot, not knowing that it’s one of the most popular surfing spots for locals, second perhaps only to the beaches of Paia Bay, especially Ho’okipa which can challenge surfers with 40′ waves and excellent windsurfing virtually every day of the year.

Well, the answer appears to be yes, of course!
