At the wedding little girls bridesmaids and ring bearers
This picture is not technically perfect by any stretch but it’s still one of my favorites from this particular wedding. I used it in the introduction to the video.  For this wedding, I wasn’t able to get the usual 24-70, 2.8 lens.  Instead, I got something like a 28–105 4.0  which gave me better zoom but no shallow depth of field, and none of the pictures seem to come out quite as clear as those taken with the 24–70.
Even so, the emotion and mood of this photograph seem to evoke wonderment and awe at all that was taking place.

A unique and picturesque 1930s vintage ragtop car provided limousine service for this Orange County bride and groom. The driver even poured them a toast. He obviously enjoyed providing this unique aspect to Orange County weddings.

Here is the final version of the “engagement video” that I used for the wedding reception at Alberto & Paola’s wedding in Huntington Beach at St. Vincent De Paul’s Catholic Church. The video used media from both the Canon 40D and the Canon T2i. I used video as well as wedding photography shots from the ceremony. This required inserting the new media at the reception and allowing for rendering time prior to showing the video. The render threatened to take forever, but it finished just in time for playing at the right point in the reception. I think, however, that I’ll work on settings and finding the best rendering engine (not ScreenFlow) the next time.

This was one of the most enjoyable weddings I ever photographed. Actually, I never had an “unpleasant wedding” but this one seemed to be made in heaven as two families of single parents, obviously all in love, were joined in Irvine. This photo was taken at a local golf resort.

Orange County Wedding PhotographyI went up to San Jose early in November and shot Jessica and Nate’s engagement photograps in Los Gatos. Their Wedding is in Spring. This BW version was rendered in LR3. Shot with the Tamron 28-105 2.8 on the Canon T2i in Raw.

I’ve been making changes in my processing and hosting of wedding and other photography by joining Smugmug. Check out my photos there, even as I’m getting used to the interface and its new interface with Lightroom.

Ken & Kristal – I processed this original photo by separating subject and background. Gaussian blur applied to background, while I carefully erased edges left from a painted on mask. I colorized background and a duplicate of the subject. I reduced the duplicate enough to allow original subject’s color to create the antique look.
