WordPress did the heavy lifting and sailed past competitors for a targeted keyword, Admirals Cove Homes for sale. This community tops the charts on resort, country club style living. Waterfront properties with five miles of Intracostal waterway, private docks, some of which can accomodate yachts up to 130′ and facilities in the stratosphere of private club rankings. There are fifty homes listed on the market above $1M. Needless to say, the competition for Google SERPs isn’t small.
I moved to use WordPress as the platform for a landing page crafted specifically for this community. I used standard SEO formulas, title, good length article relevant to the community, original text (many competitors borrow phrases from each other and it shows in searches) and, of course, an appropriate ratio of keywords.
Next, I created some back-links to the page. I’m not sure how much that counts yet- Yahoo site explorer doesn’t even know the page exists yet. Obviously, Google does. The landing page is in position #10 of page one. Precarious, but not bad for three days from its creation.
