You’ve probably noticed that sometimes you’ll see “Video Results for…” on a Google search. Wouldn’t it be nice to have your business right there at the top of page one with a video that sells your product? Yes it would.
Google is inexorably tied to YouTube but don’t expect the same level of consistency from the latter. YouTube may or may not index your video. You may or may not get a thumbnail image on an optimized YouTube landing page.

I saw one of my clients on page one just briefly. Then when I checked an hour later, back on page two. That’s always a sure sign of where you may end up if your current pace of SEO continues IMHO.
The client was in an industry that treats processing wastewater using dissolved air flotation, a bonding of various waste particles to microscopic air bubbles. Polymers are used to cause bonding to the bubbles. The sludge is skimmed off the top of the moving water.

One of my earlier retouches in photoshop. The original photo was pretty much washed out in the background due to exposure required for the subject bride. I cloned in the clouds from another photo with the stamp tool and blurred them. I had not yet begun using bracketing.

I took this shot two weeks ago in Fullerton right in the middle of winter. You’d never know it that morning unless you looked across to the snow covered San Gabriel mountains. A mist was rising from the warming ground and these cacti were ready for their closeup.

I was just driving around thinking about how databases work (Google is one of the largest databases) and about thinking outside the box for SEO. Then the idea came to me to optimize for images directly. This is part of an assessment of that idea. Can you optimize an image and have it show up in “image result for…” on Google? I suspect you may be able to.
I’m trying an optimization for something with little competition, my name, Dave Keys which is fairly unique- not too many blokes are named Keys, and only a very few of them are striving for any web presence so results should be rapid if this theory works.
