I spent over an hour in Oceanside waiting on someone to close a real estate deal for which I had helped prepare some marketing brochures and copy. The opportunity for networking was valuable but I had left my camera in the agent’s car without thinking. I walked down toward the pier with only my cellphone camera so these shots have only their compositional value.
If you’re looking for cheap wedding photography, you’ll want to consider the factors that cause the photography to be the price it is.
Here are a few:
The photographer is too inexperienced and can’t deliver a consistent quality product so they’re not ready for prime time.
The photographer is just turning pro and may be quite good but wants to build up a portfolio
The photographer is working solo. This is important for larger events. The price goes up when a second shooter of quality is hired.
The price is simply too low because the photographer underbids and will rush through your event to make up the difference.
The photographer lacks adequate equipment and is actually using consumer grade goods.
You can choose whether you need two photographers, but the other issues deserve caution and consideration before you hire a photographer. I’m a solo shooter but that keeps my prices down and makes me perfect for smaller weddings and smaller budgets too.
I’m not one of the cheap Orange County photographers that’s really underbidding and planning on a cheap product. I’m priced right for an experienced photographer who is still building a portfolio. Check my work here and on pennycafe.com and you may find you have discovered the perfect fit for your Orange County Wedding Photography.
I don’t know why this guy was fishing at a 5 star resort beachfront or what he expected to catch but it made a good addition to the subject for my photo.
