They’re at the peak of blooming now. The Jacaranda trees leave a lavender carpet on the ground covering lawns, streets and even roofs as the petals begin to drop down.

Half of the pictures are actually taken in the Fullerton Homes area at Brea Dam and are beautiful captures of one of those rare crystal clear days with snow covered San Gabriel Mountains and the green hills and valleys of Orange County.

Just a few days ago it looked like this in Orange County but now it’s rain and more rain. There are no opportunities for capturing the landscape of the OC on a day like this, so a few days back will have to do.
